About Me

Hello! My name is Angel Garcia and I am 18 years old. This semester is my first semester as a college student, so I am a bit excited to see what the future beholds. I love to admire nature and her beauty, so I enjoy spending time outside. Ah, not during the Summer though, I only enjoy the outdoors during Winter. You might be wondering "Now why is that?" Well, during the Summer season, the heat makes me feel really lethargic and lazy. So I rarely step outside when it's hot. Winter is the opposite for me. The cold makes me feel vitalized and very enthusiastic. I often play with my two dogs, Brownie and Bennie, outside during the Winter. Here they are! Brownie is on the left and Bennie on the right.

As far as my interests are concerned, I never really thought about that. It's more like everything is my interest. Everything that I do, I enjoy doing it. I don't remember a time where I have done something that I didn't find enjoyable. Well, it's more like I never have problems or any qualms with what I have to do, which might sound weird, so let me provide an example. I said before that we have two dogs, and just like any living being, they excrete waste. My younger sister really does not like cleaning up their waste, while I don't mind it at all. I feel neutral about all things; that, or I enjoy it.

My hobbies include reading and cooking/baking. Although I enjoy to cook and bake, that doesn't mean I'm any good at it. When it comes to reading, it has to be a good book that I enjoy reading. Reading for enjoyment does not mean I will enjoy reading just anything. The book must be interesting and fun! Here is a picture of the book I am currently reading. Someone doubted that I actually read books before so...yeah.

This book really doesn't appeal to me though, so I might drop it. A book I really enjoyed reading was Noble Man, by William Miller. Now that I think about it, I read quite a few enjoyable books during quarantine. Noble Man was the most fun and memorable though.

I don't have any pet peeves...wait! I lied. I do have one pet peeve, the only one I have. I remembered about it because it happened to me just now. I really enjoy listening to music, and my pet peeve is when the music is cut off for whatever reason. It makes me feel robbed, or betrayed when that happens. This feeling is amplified even further when the song is getting to the good part, then bam! It cuts off. I enjoy listening to emotional music. Music that has me feeling a certain way. Lately, I have been listening to a lot of instrumentals and they make me emotional. For example, this one makes me feel very sad, but at the same time I can't help but want to bust out some moves. I'm not good at dancing by the way. This one too, makes me feel sad, but I also want to jam it out at the same time. My point is, I really like music.

At this moment I don't have any goals besides passing all my classes. I will work hard to accomplish that. I also never though about what is unique about myself. Perhaps it is my overwhelming patience. I am a very optimistic person, so I never get angry or upset, but I do get sad. I was told numerous times before by different people that they have never seen me get angry before. I remember once when a family member did something very bad to me, but I still wasn't upset. I won't get into specific details but I remember they said, and I quote, "You're supposed to be angry with me, you know." I remember this line clearly because I remember that I was very confused at the time. I didn't know what I wanted, nor did I know what they had meant. To be honest, I still don't know why they would want me to be angry.

Until now, this has been Angel Garcia. Thank you for taking the time to read through my very first blog, and until next time!

  1. Hi Angel, while reading this entry I realized we have some things in common! I do not like to do much in the heat either. Especially living in Arizona where it can be up to 120 degrees :( But I do enjoy swimming while it is hot because well... you cannot really do that in winter unless you are extremely brave. I also enjoy listening to music and yes it is very annoying when a song cuts off in the middle. I am looking forward to reading more from you!
